The Order Today

In 1907, the Grand Prior of the Order was empowered by Royal Charter to found Priories. Today, in addition to the Grand Priory in England, there are seven Priories of the Order, including Wales, Scotland, South Africa, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. The present day work of the Priories around the world, with the exception of The Priory in the U.S., includes medical and first aid training, ambulance and hospitals as well as support of The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital (www.stjohneyehospital.org). The primary work of The Priory in the U.S. is to support The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital and its outreach clinics throughout the Holy Land.

Information concerning the work of the Order around the world can be found at their website. The Order’s newsletter is here.
