The 2013 Priory pilgrimage is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Confrères and guests to experience from a Christian perspective places central to our faith and the Order’s mission – the beautiful country of Jordan, with its many Old and New Testaments,  Christian and medieval sites, and Jerusalem, the holiest of cities.

This is a land only tour.  Led by The Rev’d Canon Nicholas Porter, KStJ, an experienced Middle Eastern scholar, traveler and guide along with Executive Director Ruth Ann Skaff, highlights include:

The Dead Sea and Mt. Nebo

The long lost ancient Nabatean city of Petra  

Lawrence of Arabia’s Qasr al-Azraq and other desert castles that dot ancient trading routes

The Jordan River, where Christ was baptized

The towering Crusader fortress of  Kerak

Byzantine churches and Roman city of Jerash

Jerusalem and its holy sites central to Christianity and other faiths

A special visit to The St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital
